These grisly pals absolutely abhor light of any kind; it burns the only eye they possess. In the dark they can see perfectly, however, and are expert hunters. It says the hunger of such a creature can never be satiated and so they spend eternity in the shadows, snapping at any potential victim that comes within reach of their jaws. If you’re bitten but escape, their poison is said to cause nightmares so terrible that victims often end up dead of heart attacks.
