Revelry
(Late February - Early March)

 

-Theme-

This is Mistica’s version of Mardi Gras.  Typical colors are purple, green, and gold.

-Typical Items-

During revelry, many party-themed items make an appearance- hats, beads, coins, etc.  They are usually a combination of the colors purple, gold, and green.  Special masks can also be found this time of year.  Each mask depicts a pet species.  These items can usually be obtained from the Rougarou or from Rosebud’s Holiday Shop throughout the duration of the festivities.  Here are some examples:

-Characters-

Rougarou
(Antagonist) 

This nasty-smelling swamp beast is recognizable by his glowing red eyes and necklace of eyes.  He appears each Revelry to try to crash our party.

 

Bayou Benni 
(Protagonist)

This shrimp-like creature is ready to dance!  With his trusty accordion at hand, this little fellow shows us what Revelry spirit is all about.

 

-Recaps-

2009 (February 24th - March 7th)
2009 was Mistica’s first Revelry.  This was the year when all the characters were introduced and the Rougarou hosted his Revelry Quest.  This Quest had different levels and as you passed them, you were rewarded with different pet-themed masks.  If you completed the entire quest, you were gifted with a trophy and avatar.

2010 (February 23rd - March 3rd)
This year, the Revelry plot consisted of “tossing items”.  Every 30 minutes, you were able to click an icon on someone’s profile and that person would receive a Revelry item.  These items could be kept or traded in to the Rougarou for points in his shop.  His shop carried the mask from 2009 as well as a few new items.

2011 (February 24th - March 8th)
In 2011, both the main characters made their return as well as our sneaky Jasper and his circus.  However, dear Bayou Benni was captured by the Rougarou!  But to everyone's relief, he was released at the end of the celebrations.  Also, this year, revelry goods could be turned in to the Rougarou to earn points that could be spent in his special shop.

2012 (February 24th - March 4th)
This year, Revelry started up with Bayou Benni worrying about why the Rougarou hadn't waken up in time for the start of things. Revelry items were tossed in the meantime, and then turned in via the Rougarou quests, which Benni had to take over until the Rougarou awakened. Benni continued to celebrate Revelry with his accordion, angering Zulime and causing her to close her shop for a little while. Many new items were released, and Bayou Benni left everyone on the note that maybe he'll tone things down a bit next year...

2013 (Feb. 23rd - March 10th)
Revelry started just like any other year. Benni excited and happy asking users to collect a multitude of Jugglers and Beads for his quest. This year he was focused on avoiding the Rougarou. Harmony helped Benni in his quest to send joy to all mistica by stocking new Drum Sets. The loud noise Benni and the Mistican's were making with thier new and old instraments caused the Rougarou to stir and wake in a bad mood. Now the beast took over Revelry taking over the revelry quest tossing Benni him back to the Banshee swamp. Benni sat in wait and made a plan using Harmony and all Mistica to help play softer music to lure the Rougarou back to sleep. Benni's plan was successfull and in celebration Benni released sone new suits for mistica to enjoy.
