-Theme-
Whacking Day is Mistica’s version of St. Patrick’s Day. However, it has slowly evolved to a holiday on its own, based solely upon the little creatures we refer to as znakes. Unlike other celebrations, there are no characters for this plot.
The holiday itself began in Rordon Village, where once a year the znakes come out of their hiding places. The people began whacking them to keep them under control, however this soon turned into a competition amongst the children. In no time at all, this event became a worldwide sport and the people with the most znakes at the end of the day would be considered the winners.

The items for Whacking Day are mostly znake-related. Znakes are small snake-like pals that come in two varieties- normal and whacked. Some examples of Whacking Day Items are the following:
Whacked Canq Znake, Znakes on a Boat, Cero Znake, Whacking Stick, Shamrock Znake
-Teams-
Whacking Day teams are ususally associated with znakes and whacking preferences. Teams began in 2010 during that year's Whacking Day. Official Teams are teams started by the site and Unofficial Teams are teams started by the members. People are free to join any team that they choose.

-Recaps-
2008 (March 17th - March 19th)
This was the first year of Whacking Day. However, this year it was not considered a major plot. Rather, it was a simply St. Patrick’s Day celebration.
2009 (March 17th - 21st)
This year was when Whacking Day turned into a true mini-plot. The theme this year was to find the Pot o’ Gold by following a series of clues.
2010 (March 16th - March 20th)
In 2010, the Whacking plot was centered around MAWZ and MWAZ. Znake buttons would appear randomly and people had the option to whack or save these creatures. In the end, the MAWZ won with 4208 znakes saved vs. 2824 whacked by MWAZ.
2011 (March 15th - March 22nd)
2011 saw the return of the znake pinata, which members could "whack" every hour in hopes of breaking it open for an awesome prize. Znake buttons would appear randomly around site and members had the option to whack or save a random znake. Additionally, there were many new znakes this year including the "themed" znakes (Baby Znake, Zodiac Znake, etc) and the "flower" znakes (Rose Znake, Iris Znake, etc). The celebrations came to a close with some Daedal releasing some talismans and other items for seasonal stocking.
2012 (March 17th - March 22nd)
The Znake buttons made their return this year once more as members chose their sides and began clicking the buttons that appeared around the site to collect their znakes. Several new ones revolving around the different pet themes (Blush Znake, Tropical Znake, etc.) were released along with quite a few new znake/St. Patrick's Day-themed wearables and items. By the end of the whacking season, more than 2,600 znakes were saved and over 1,400 znakes were whacked!
