-Theme-

Lanturnacht is Mistica's version of Halloween, complete with those yummy things we call candy.

-Items-

There is a wide variety of Lanturnacht items.  It ranges from pals to food to even some odd-looking goopy drinks.  Most of the colors are usually greys/blacks, greens, and oranges, though there are plenty of exceptions.  Here are some examples:

-Pet Species-

Lanturnacht day is one of the only times of year that you can adopt a jinx (the others being blue moons and Friday the 13ths.).

-Characters-

Jasper
This jinx and his trusty hat Gregory always make an appearance with his (their?) Lanturnacht Point shop, where members can trade in their points for goods.  He is also the owner of the infamous "Jasper's Circus".

Archie
Archie was the previous owner of the Circus before he was forced to give it to Jasper.  What will the poor fellow do now?

Albrecht
This koko is the proud owner of the Chamber of Evil, but not much else is known about him.

Jahzara
A mysterious fortune teller, Jahzara first emerged from the mists during Lanturnacht.

Belladonna
Belladonna works for Jasper in his mischevious circus.  You can find her in the fortune telling booth, if you dare.

Elijah
Another of Jasper's circus staff.  Elijah is in charge of the crate game.

Skreetch
Skreetch runs the Slideshow of Horror in Jasper's Circus.

-Special Events-

Door Knocking
During Lanturnacht, you have the opprotunity to knock on your fellow member's doors.  When you do so, you will either receive a piece of candy or a prank.  There are a variety of different knockers to choose from.  Here is a sample:

Chamber of Evil
The Chamber of Evil (or CoE) was released in 2009.  It is a maze owned by Albrecht and contains everything from candy to monsters.  Here are some sampling CoE items:

Jasper's Circus
Jasper's Circus is a seasonal carnival full of games, merchandise, and fortune telling.  Here are some goods that you might expect to find there:

-Recaps-

2008 (October 16th - November 3rd)
This was the first year of Lanturnacht.  A ton of new Halloween-themed items and pets were released.  Each day, a lanturn or phantom box was given away to a member.  In 2008, candy was also bought in shops instead of "tossed" like in later years.

2009 (October 8th - November 7th)
In addition to new pets and items, a ton of new Lanturnacht features were released in 2009.  These included Trick-or-Treating (Door Knocking), Jasper's candy shop, and the Chamber of Evil and with them came many of the Lanturnacht characters that we know today.

2010 (October 10th - November 1st)
2010 witnessed the return of Trick-or-Treating as well as the Chamber of Evil, freshy stocked with new goodies for Misticans to discover.  This year, there was also the Circus plot which consisted of Jasper finally winning the battle and claiming Archie's pride and joy.  With the opening of the circus also came a flood of new items and games; and despite its strange owner, the circus was a huge hit.

2011 (October 6th - October 31st)
In 2011, Misticans built tombstone using pieces that appeared randomly on site.  They turned these in to Jasper whom gave them prizes as he mourned the loss of some of his pals.  In addition, there were a lot of new phantom & lanturn pets released as well as legendary costumes.  There was even a legendary costume contest to tie up the event.

2012 (October 2nd - November 5th)
"2012’s Lanturnacht was an eventful one, the festivities starting with the release of new Phantom and Lantern pets. However things quickly soured as a horrendous storm ruined the graces of Jaspers’ deceased Mistic pals. However, Misticans were quick to repair the tombs and the festivities began. But the cheer and fun time was short lived, as Jaspers’ inexperienced brother Archie was forced to take over as Jasper fell ill. This left the title of “King of Lanturnacht” open for Albrecht and his Chamber of Evil. Thanfully, Archie was able to step up and protect the title for his brother with the help of his Misticam supporters. Lanturnacht ends on a victory for Archie and Jasper, and a neat pumpkin carving contest!"

2013 (October 1st - October 31st)
Once again another Lanturnacht is upon Mistica. This year it starts out with Jazhara telling the story of Jasper and his horrid past. Orphaned and alone Archibald Bozoni Sr. takes him in to the circus like a son. Jasper stumbles upon a locked truck, where a magical hat takes in the soul of his lost twin brother, Gregory. Archibald dies and Jasper is blamed. He runs only to lend the circus money later down the road. Archie wants to pay Jasper back, but Jasper insists he is the owner of the circus. They argue resulting in Jasper storming away. Jasper gets into an argument with Valerie, which results in the popcorn machine being left on. Lanturats were introduced as a game due to the now overrun circus with popcorn. Lava fishing, another game, was also introduced. Rumors of the curse continue while the circus is shut down due to repairs. Albrecht opens the chambers of evil. Archie and Jasper ask mistic's help to rebuild the circus. Lava fishing boils over, causing another argument about the curse. Albrecht kidnaps Archie and holds him in the chambers of evil. New monsters in the maze give out clues to Archie's wherabouts. Members help and eventually he is found. Archie and Jasper apologize and once again they agree to run the circus together. On top of everything new Lanturn and Phantom pets were released.
